Can I say I prefer Anna over Sierra for the title song ‘Love never dies’? Obviously she’s not classically trained and she pushed her high note too hard. I know 99% fans out there love her. I adore her performance too but she just doesn’t have the voice range that Christine is supposed to have.
I hope people are more open minded about the Australia Love Never Dies. It’s ok to prefer Ramin over Ben, or Sierra over Anna. But there’s no need to bash the whole production and the cast in every single way to make a point. To be honest I listened to the London cast recording and watched some clips from YouTube and I can see why it was not going well with the flaws in the plot and the lyrics. But I respect people who like it for their own reasons.
I wonder when Michael Crawford resigned as the original phantom 20 something years ago, did the next phantom received harsh comments as well?
I have been replaying the scene on Iphone where Erik made a ‘surprised’ entrance from the balcony door and Christine fainted. Love it!!!! Btw, just noticed when Erik tried to picked her up, she actually threw her arms and wrapped around his neck?! Lol~~~

Can’t agreed more! She was brilliant on stage and I’m sure she was chosen because her talent excelled other people of normal height at the audition.

Last week I was watching “Beneath a moonless sky” repetitively. This week I changed to “beauty underneath” and “devil take the hindmost”. Ben and Simon are too awesome! They managed the emotion and strength in their voice so well! Oh and I love that kid Jack Lyall. He’s too brilliant to be just 10yr when he was filmed!!!
Why didn’t Christine tell Erik that was his own child when Erik threatened to kidnap the kid if she refused to sing for him???
It would have ended in a happy way!!!

I love how Erik reacted to Christine’s confession that Gustave was his child in the Melbourne production LND. The way he cried ‘my son’ during her singing, then she went closer and gently pat on Erik’s head (why suddenly bald and white btw?), then Erik said ‘forgive me’… This scene has always made me in tears…I think, this scene was plotted much nicely than the London version…
On the other side, can someone please tell me why sometimes Phantom’s hair remains when mask removed, and sometimes his white and bald head gets exposed??? This has also happened in POTO, which confuses me till now… @@
